I have enjoyed my time at CEM Solutions as they have given me the opportunity to experience different aspects of the job. They have given me the chance to work on a project even though they know I have no experience in the job. They took their time out of the day to help me and make sure my time here is worthwhile.
The project that I’ve been working on this week is the condensate trap with a working alarm. The trap has many different electrical components which include a power supply, indicators, isolators, RCD’s and these are all things I’ve learnt here at CEM Solutions.

During my time here for work experience I’ve learnt many skills. They have also let me have a go at many things to increase my knowledge in different areas of the business. This includes wire cutting (single to triple core wiring), making electricity flow from one place to another and designing the system using CAD software.
After everything I’ve done throughout the week I think I’ve most enjoyed the practical work building and testing my project but if there one thing I enjoyed the least was planning it all out.
After I finish my GCSEs in year 11, I think I want to go get an apprenticeship somewhere because I feel like I would enjoy doing something similar to what I have experienced this week.
