Remote CEM Diagnostics
ProtoQAL – Our Remote CEM Diagnostics
Remote access allows us to undertake a number of diagnostic tasks that would have previously required a site visit…
We’re able to remotely check analyser diagnostics. Diagnostics include:
- Sample line, probe and panel temperature
- Condition of measuring cell
- Analyser flow
- Calibration info
We also have the capability to remotely:
- Check historical/current alarms
- Check zero/span calibrations
- Compare live diagnostics to historical diagnostics
- Pinpoint the time of potential plant issues
Remote Access Performing QAL3s
The MCA10 can perform completely automatic QAL3s. Remotely, we can:
- Perform the QAL3s (zero and span checks).
- Analyse the QAL3s.
- Investigate any historical failed QAL3s.
- Update gas cylinder concentrations.
Shewart/CUSUM (and more) charts can be generated/saved.
Have confidence that your QAL3’s are being performed correctly, meaning less chance of failures.

Remote Access QAL3 Reporting
Confidence – Have confidence your QAL3s are done correctly, and the required reports are generated for the Environmental Agency.
Time Saved – Performing QAL3s can sometimes be a timely process. Performing them remotely avoids this.
Resources Saved – No need for site personnel. Resources can be used elsewhere.

The key benefits of ProtoQAL – Remote Access for your CEM system:
Less environmental impact
Engineers are performing a key site service remotely – reducing our overall carbon footprint.
Flexible service
This remote service can be done from any location, at any date or time (including weekends), to suit site and customer’s specific requirements.
Quick response
Negates the need to travel to the site, sign permits, carry out introductions, e.t.c… This means issues can be diagnosed and potentially rapidly rectified.
No site personnel needed
As the entire service is done completely remotely, there’s no need for personnel to enter the site. (E.g No need to sign permits)
Reduce costs
Remote access saves time and reduces the on-site visits required, resulting in large cost reductions compared to non-remote on-site services.
More frequent checks
Due to costs being less, it’s feasible to have multiple remote access checks throughout the year, with a detailed work report generated each time.
