Ambient Dust Monitoring
A compact and low cost solution for monitoring fine dust emissions to air in production aread and in the ambient air.
Monitoring of atmospheric fine dust, also known as PM2.5 / PM10 is crucial for the occupational health of employees and the public that can be affected by process generated dust emissions, as well as being a key tool for monitoring plant performance. The FDS range of ambient dust monitors make this process simple and maintain records of your dust levels for comparisons and improvements.
If you have a question regarding our ambient dust monitors, then please contact us today and a member of our team will be happy to answer your queries.
What is the FDS 15 suitable for?
Typical applications for the FDS 15 fine dust sensor include:
- Monitoring of fine dust in production areas such as workshops and sawmills.
- Monitoring of room air quality in offices and public buildings such as schools and hospitals to ensure safe dust levels are maintained.
- Monitoring of ambient air in quarries and mines
- Detection of fugitive emission releases
How does the FDS 15 operate?
The FDS 15 ambient dust monitor uses scattered light to determine ambient dust levels. The integrated fan pulls air into the analyser which subsequently determines the dust particles within the sampled quantity.
The benefits of the FDS 15
The FDS 15 ambient dust monitor has many benefits, including:
- Small and robust design to seamlessly blend in with its surroundings
- Quiet operation – suitable for use in office areas.
- Provides alarms of elevated levels of PFM 2.5/10
- Network compatibility by WLAN
- Easy installation
- Low and cost-efficient operational costs
What is the FDS 17 suitable for?
The FDS 17 is a fine dust optical sensor for continuous simultaneous measurement and monitoring of fine dust particles. The FDS 17 has two sensor modules for measurement of PM10 and PM2.5 as well as a measuring sensor, reference sensor, pre-separator, residual dust reservoir and fan.
How does the FDS 17 operate?
The determination of dust content in the FDS 17 is based on the method of scattered light measurement. Once the fine dust of the ambient air has entered the device via the measuring gas probe and has passed the electrostatic precipitator, the fine dust concentrations for PM10 and PM2.5 are measured.
The benefits of the FDS 17
The FDS 17 ambient dust monitor has many benefits, including:
- Simultaneous measurement of PM10 and PM2.5
- Patented zero point control by electrostatic precipitator
- Robust design
- Low-noise operation
- Active suction
- Long-term stability
- Cross linking of several FDS 17
- WLAN network compatible
- Hassle free installation
- Low operational costs
- First class price/performance ratio
