Process Gas Analysers

Gas Solutions using an extractive method are particularly appropriate for Process Control application as the gas analysers are not directly exposed to often very difficult and challenging conditions.

All our raw gas analysers are designed for continuous operation and suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

Raw gas measurements can be extremely valuable to operators, be it for combustion control, monitoring of sulphur or chlorine content of fuel or monitoring efficiency of abatement plant (e.g. lime or bicarb. dosing, SCR SNCR).

A well-considered measurement can optimise performance, highlight when a plant or fuel is out of spec. and reduce the consumption of reagents. As a benefit to a plant / operator, a ‘pay back’ time on investment can be very short for such devices.

All of our Raw Gas analysers are designed for continuous operation and suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. We use a combination of in situ and extractive devices based on our many years of experience. Where appropriate we recommend additional measures (coatings / deflection plates / blow back) to prolong the life and optimise reliability of such installations.

How do our UVA products operate?

Our devices are composed of light sources, measuring cells and a spectrometer which are all interconnected via an optical path. The emitted radiation is absorbed by the process gas in the measuring cell and is then detected by the spectrometer. This can then determine concentration of the gas. The UVA 17 uses Ultraviolet spectroscopy to measure absorption of the gaseous components of interest.
