We’re pleased to welcome Chris Needham as the newest member of our CEMS team at CEM Solutions. Chris joins us with extensive experience in engineering and emissions monitoring, bringing valuable hands-on knowledge that strengthens our in-house assembly and testing capabilities. He has already settled in well and is a great addition to the team as we continue to grow and support our clients across the UK.
Here’s Chris to tell us about his role at CEM Solutions and a little about himself!
After a total of 29 years in engineering (16 of those being in emissions monitoring and the last 6 years being a very busy service engineer visiting Energy From Waste sites, gas power stations and food processing plants nationwide for gas detection services) it’s now a pleasure at this stage of life and career to start at CEM Solutions, currently doing in-house CEMS assembly and testing.
Everyone here has made it incredibly easy to settle in and only being 5 miles from home, it’s an absolute joy!!
My colleagues possibly aren’t aware that I’m also a qualified Tree Surgeon. When in my late 30’s I thought what profession would I like to have a go at before it was too late, I organised the training, bought all the necessary kit and started my own company. It was fun to do for a while but climbing 60ft trees next to power lines is a young man’s game and the engineering career was always there so I drew it to a close.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
Outside of work I enjoy getting on the mountain bike, playing golf and I’ve been a skier since the age of 8. You will also see me enjoying a weekend walk with a pub stop after.
